Anna Sidorova is a frequent participant at Stockholm Ladies Curling Cup and any other international championship since 2009. Her rink has varied somewhat from year to year and this time she will play alongside Ekaterina Galkina, Aleksandra Saitova and Margarita Fomina in Danderyd, trying to capture their second victory at SLCC.

Back in 2011 Anna and Ekaterina reached top position here, at that point skipped by Ljudmila Privivkova and also with Nkeiruka Ezekh, and the following year Sidorova skipped mother Russia to the European Championship Gold medal in Karlstad, Sweden.

Last season’s big happening, of course, was the home Winter Olympics in Sochi where the team managed only to gather 3 wins and 6 losses, ending outside the playoffs.

We are very happy to see you back in Stockholm again ladies. You know the way here, so a very big welcome to you!

They are superstars and have traveled across Canada to receive the people’s tributes ever since they won the Olympic gold medal in Sochi. Now they come to Danderyd Curling Arena and Stockholm Ladies Curling Cup in September to try to win the first transatlantic victory at SLCC.

We are super excited to announce the participation of Team Jennifer Jones from Winnipeg, Canada, in SLCC 2014!

With a stunning season, winning six out of nine events including the Winter Olympics, Jennifer and her teammates Kaitlyn Lawes, Jill Officer and Dawn McEwan ended as the number one ranked team in the world.

It’s not the team’s first visit to Europe and the Curling Champions Tour though. In the 2011-2012 season they won in Oslo and were finalists in the International Bernese Ladies Curling Cup the same year.

To win in Stockholm Jennifer will have to bring her A-game as the other contestants all are aiming to beat the best, and it’s going to be lots of good teams in the chase.

Welcome to Stockholm ladies!
